Our story

Avery Duffy, the pastry chef behind Black Cat Bakery, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone where she honed her skills and found her love of tarts and mini desserts. She is set to launch her own pastry business in 2024 at local Farmer’s Markets in Northern California.

Black Cat Bakery owes its name to Avery’s love of black cats. “Goose”, her beloved cat serves as the bakeries mascot and inspiration.
